How to post a comment

Part of the reason I've taken the time to create this blog is to get feedback and hear other people's ideas (those who agree and those who don't).

I'm a newbie at using blogs...so please don't feel bad if you are having trouble figuring out how to post. I decided to provide these instructions for those who need them

Here's how to add your comments:

"posted by Mark Moshay at 1:55PM 0 comments"

Click on the word "comments" and a pop-up will appear for you to fill out.

This blog should default to "anonymous" which is fine (If it doesn't then click on the button labeled "anonymous")

If you want to add your name, you can simply include it in the comment box after writing your message:

example: "I disagree with your what you said about blah blah blah.
- Joe Schmoe"

OR

You can take the time to create an identity and your id will automatically be included.

Hope this helps!

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised ___ __The plot to depose Hugo Chavez

I recently purchased the film "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" at the urging of a friend. The film was very hard to locate...and I think I know why...(mike check, NSA I said "I think I know why")

I'd encourage you to go to the link near the end of the post and order a copy.

It comes out of the UK and they require paypal for payment.

It is AMAZING! So much so, that I went to the Internet Movie DataBase (IMDB) and posted the following comment:

http://imdb.com/title/tt0363510/

I am a full time labor union representative in the Seattle area. Over the years I've become very aware of how the multi-national corporations and the elite have manipulated the entire globe for their own selfish gain.

The Chavez film is amazing! It reveals how the rich neo-liberals (ironically they are the same as neo-conservatives in the US) manipulated the media to set up a coup to steal power from the duly elected President.

If you've ever done much reading from great authors Like Noam Chomsky, you will easily see the earmarks of the CIA in this film. TheVenezualan neo-liberals obviously had a lot of "help" in undermining Chavez.

Interesting parallels between Venezuala and the US:

* In Venezuala they undermined a duly elected President to seat a friend of the rich oil barons and corporate elite.

* In the US they undermined an election to seat a friend of the rich oil barons and corporate elite.

* In Venezeuala the elite controlled most of the media to smear thePresident.

* In the US the elite control most of the media to push the President's propaganda and smear the opposition.

Watching Chavez reach out to the poor and the middle class with his message of true revolution, that is to change society in a way that all citizens benefit from the nation's wealth was awe inspiring to me.

The most valuable lesson I came away with was Chavez' insistence that the common citizen arm themselves with the knowledge of their Constitution and to get involved in the political process. He urged them to form community groups called "Bolivar circles" named after the great liberator Simon Bolivar.

Sadly, our nation is headed the way of the third world as the gap between the haves and the have nots widens. I urge every American to get this film, watch it, and apply it. Unless common citizens take an active part in their nation's political system, the oppression will continue.

Chavez brilliant strategy of involving the entire poplulation saved his Presidency AND his life. The fact that he did not retaliate once he regained power is proof that the claims he is a ruthless dictator are false.

Finally, I believe that the US government does not want anyone to view this film. When it was first released there were showings all over the US. But when I sought out the film a few months ago, nearly every website that advertised it was either shut down, or no longer carried it.

Can you say CIA?

However, I finally located the film two weeks ago, if you want to get a copy, I suggest you do so quickly, here is the link:http://venezuelasolidarity.org.uk/form.html

VIVA CHAVEZ!

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

What does it take to get your attention people?

A war based on lies?
The deaths of nearly 3,000 of our sons and daughters?
Thousands of permanently disabled soldiers?
Thousands more innocent civilians murdered?
Illegal incarceration of innocent people?
Torture? Abu Gharib? Guantanamo?
The outing of a CIA agent by the Administration?
Running our debt beyond 8 trillion dollars?
Nearly 9 Billion dollars “missing” in Iraq by unscrupulous agents?
Tax cuts for the rich in wartime?
Allowing millions of American jobs to be sent overseas?
Cutting benefits for veterans, education for our kids, and the elderly?
Leaving thousands of innocent Americans stranded in the worst weather catastrophe in our history?
Failing to properly fund and protect our borders?
Spying on millions of American citizens in violation of the law?

And now the latest insult, attempting to turn over the security of our ports to a nation that aided those who helped launch the attack of 911.

What does it take to get your attention?

Your silence has empowered the Bush Administration to flaunt our Constitution and our laws.

Your silence has sent the message that there is no limit to what they can do.

Time is running out, wake up, educate yourself on these issues, and take a stand…
